Genesis Oncology Trust are pleased to announce that for 2010 the sum available for distribution as grants will again be $1 million.

The two new educational grants that were added to the award portfolio in 2008 will again be offered. The Murray Jackson Clinical Fellowship for medically qualified people, and the John Gavin Postdoctoral Research Fellowship for those pursuing a research career.

The Genesis Oncology Trust is an independent charity established with a settlement from Genesis Power Ltd. and generously supported by donations for Genesis Energy customers via their monthly energy bill. The Trust board would be pleased to receive applications to fund research, or other suitable projects, from you or your colleagues.

Closes 18 March 2011 – maximum award of $3,000 per grant

Applications will be assessed on a competitive basis by an expert committee and peer reviewed where appropriate. Applicants will be notified of outcomes in early December 2009.

When constructing the budget applicants should bear in mind the total sum available for distribution across all successful applications, which for the 2010 round is up to $1,000,000
