Consumer Forum

This forum has been established to support consumers to be involved with cancer control issues across the cancer continuum.

A teleconference was held with consumers who had an interest in furthering their involvement with cancer advisory groups at a local, regional and national level.

A regional consumer forum is being held in July 2010 .

Expected outcomes for the day include:

  • Attendees having an understanding of statistics and epidemiology with respect to the CCN Health Needs Assessment
  • Attendees having an understanding of the work CCN is undertaking to reduce inequalities with respect to cancer
  • Networking opportunities are enhanced and support shared learning
  • Attendees having an opportunity to develop consumer related information pamphlets
