Consumer Forum

This forum has been established to support consumers to be involved with cancer control issues across the cancer continuum.

A teleconference was held with consumers who had an interest in furthering their involvement with cancer advisory groups at a local, regional and national level.

A regional consumer forum was held early November . The purpose of this forum included the following expected outcomes:

  • Attendees have an increased understanding of the aims and activities of the network
  • Attendees have an increased understanding of the cancer consumer representative role
  • CCN receives advice on how it can best support consumer representatives
  • Networking opportunities are enhanced and support shared learning
  • Consumer representatives receive information / training to support them in their roles
